School Curriculum

Kiritaka offers students two courses. One is the general course in which the students literally study ordinary subjects following the educational curriculum including: Japanese, English, History, Mathematics, Science, and so on. Completing the curriculum, the students reach the level to pass the entrance examinations to colleges and universities. The other is the Mathematics and Science course (MS) in which the students not only study ordinary subjects, but also gain opportunities to study advanced technology in science.

As one of the MS events, for example, the students join a tour to Tsukuba Science City in Ibaraki prefecture and to visit some scientific institutions such as the University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba Space Center (JAXA), the Institute of Physical and Chemical Research (RIKEN), and the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK). This experience helps them to deepen their own scientific interest in a variety of fields, as well as improve their scientific knowledge.
